Just a quick post to let everyone know that we arrived in our region safe and sound. We slept very little on the last leg of the journey, so we're going to bed in a minute (as it is after 9pm here and we haven't slept since Sunday night). We were met at the aiport by our region coordinator Natasha, our translator also named Natasha, and our driver whose name escapes us at the moment (difficult Russian name). We loaded our luggage (barely) into the car and they delivered us to our palatial new digs on the 12th floor (nice view at sunset).
Our beautiful 2 bedroom, one and a half bath apartment located in the newer section of Aqtobe is also near the Mosque-Mall (which we fully intend to check out). Check out these pics.
We also went to the baby house this afternoon, but we have no news to share at this time. Check back tomorrow and we should have a BIG announcement then.

When in doubt, call everyone Natasha. Apparently that will work for 2/3 of the people you meet.
